Microcity brings together a technological ecosystem where SMEs, start-ups, large companies, researchers, engineers, and academic partners collaborate to turn innovation into tangible impact. With tools such as DoT (Diagnostic of Things), data analysis becomes a true driver of performance, resilience, and sustainability for industry.

The DoT (Diagnostic of Things)
Intelligent analysis to improve your performance
Thanks to an approach inspired by biostatistics and data science, DoT makes it possible to
•Intuitively visualize the interactions and dependencies within your industrial processes
•Identify root causes of suboptimal performance
•Develop predictive strategies to anticipate risks and make your operations more reliable.
A flexible and interdisciplinary solution
The DoT supports your teams in the transition to digitalization without disrupting existing processes.
It promotes interdisciplinary collaboration, by connecting engineers, data scientists and production managers around the same vision: that of a connected, efficient and sustainable industry.
A multi-sectoral tool at the service of innovation
Applicable to numerous fields — from energy management to pharmaceutical production, including microtechnology and precision manufacturing
— DoT adapts to each industrial context.
It helps organizations to:
•Anticipate operational risks
•Optimizing production lines
•Accelerate digital transformation in a smooth, measurable, and sustainable way.

The NPR Smart City & Region project, validated by the NECO (Department of the Economy of the Canton of Neuchâtel) in 2022, is part of the digital and responsible innovation strategy (Smart City) of the City of Neuchâtel, proposed by the Technological Development Department. MICROCITY collaborates actively with the City of Neuchâtel, which is leading the project, as well as with UniNE as a privileged academic partner. Our main role is to manage the Idea Booster (nbooster.ch), to boost the innovation district and to introduce industrial partners.
Les Métiers du Temps — Time Arts (MTTA) is a national competence center dedicated to watchmaking professions. It brings together artisans, subcontracting companies, brands, watch groups and research institutions to stimulate innovation, promote artistic crafts and strengthen the network of artisans at the heart of the watch industry.
The Microtech Booster is based on a dynamic ecosystem of more than 570 players in the field of microtechniques. This program is intended for growing SMEs to create spin-offs and facilitate access to financing through private partners including banks.
During 2023, 14 collaborative projects were supported by MicrotechBooster.swiss.
Located in Neuchatel-Serrières, in the heart of the Swiss Health Valley, the Human Lean Diagnostics (HLD) project aims to create a collaborative and dynamic ecosystem bringing together industries, academic institutions and research centers.
Its objective: to accelerate the transition to 4P medicine — personalized, preventive, predictive and participatory. Within the HLD program, laboratories, workspaces, tailor-made support and innovation projects constitute an environment conducive to applied research and the development of next-generation diagnostic solutions.
It is a local ecosystem focused on the valorization of waste, catalyzing an industrial transformation towards net zero emissions. This project aims to convert waste into reusable or even high-potential resources, thus establishing a circular and sustainable economy. It aspires to achieve a major systemic change, encompassing the transformation of corporate culture, the adoption of new technologies, the establishment of modern infrastructures, the creation of new offers, the integration of green energy sources and the development of innovative business models, all in synergy with local industrial activities.
